Sample curriculum
Real tasks pulled from our library — the same curriculum active members work through, not marketing copy. Every track has beginner-through-advanced tasks on a weekly, monthly, and yearly cadence; here’s one beginner, weekly example from each.
Install a hypervisor (VirtualBox/VMware), spin up a Kali Linux VM and a vulnerable target VM (e.g. Metasploitable2). Document your network setup in a short write-up.
In a language of your choice (Python recommended), write 5 small scripts using variables, conditionals, and loops (e.g. FizzBuzz, a temperature converter, a simple calculator).
Complete a NumPy/Pandas tutorial and use it to clean and analyze a real dataset (e.g. from Kaggle). Submit your notebook.
Learn the mathematical representation of qubits (Bloch sphere, superposition) and manually compute the state of a single qubit after applying Hadamard and Pauli-X gates.
Study the double-slit experiment in depth. Write an explanation of wave-particle duality and what it implies about measurement.
Build a detailed personal budget (income, expenses, savings rate) in a spreadsheet and identify 3 concrete areas to improve.
Test the soil (pH, NPK) for a small growing space (garden bed, pot, or community plot) and research what crops suit that profile.
Learn the fundamentals of orbits (altitude, velocity, period) and manually compute the orbital period for a satellite at a given altitude.
Pick a problem you think is worth solving. Conduct 10 short interviews with potential customers (no pitching, just listening). Submit a summary of the top 3 pain points you heard.
Install MetaMask or a similar wallet, secure your seed phrase properly (never digitally, never shared), and send yourself a small test transaction on a testnet. Submit a screenshot of the testnet transaction.
Install Google Analytics 4 and Search Console on a website (your own or a practice site) and configure basic goal tracking. Submit a screenshot of your dashboard.
Assess your own (or a family member's) home for energy efficiency: insulation, appliances, and usage patterns. Submit a checklist of findings and 3 recommended improvements.
This is one example per track at the beginner level — actual assignment adapts to your chosen skill level (not sure where you stand? there’s an optional diagnostic quiz for that) and, if enabled, is personalized around your stated job and goals. Some tasks include a short lesson and a quiz you need to pass first, other members in your track can leave advisory feedback on your submissions, and the pace itself adapts a little to how you’re doing.
